Tweaking memory consumption (Not recommended)
« on: June 26, 2014, 12:26:34 AM »
If you want to adjust the memory size required by YouWave, do this:

1. Close YouWave.
2. Press Windows + R or go to Start > Run
2. Paste:
%USERPROFILE%\.Virtualbox\Machines\youwave_vm01\youwave_vm01.xml

Hit Ctrl + F and search for:
RAMSize="512"

Change it to
RAMSize="256"

3. Start YouWave.
In this way, YouWave uses 256MB less memory. Chance is that it can start.

*NOTE: The RAMsize setting determines how much physical RAM will be reserved for youwave (not virtual RAM), there's very little to gain in adjusting this number. If you decrease the RAMsize some apps may not be able to run due to lack of RAM. But if your machine doesn't have sufficient RAM, than decreasing it may be the only option.
