The youwave gallery is very unstable for the moment... the bug has been reported

There is a workaround, but you will need to install dropbox on youwave and your pc first:

=====================================
How to install dropbox
=====================================
- Create a account on http://www.dropbox.com
- Install the Dropbox for PC
- Google for: Dropbox APK (Download It)
- Place APK file in the Dropbox folder
- Surf to www.dropbox.com from within Youwave
- Login & Download the Dropbox APK file

After this any file you place in the dropbox folder is shared vica versa...

=====================================
How to send pictures
=====================================
- Open dropbox from within Youwave
- Find your picture
- Then click and hold the picture... until a menu pops up
- Share....  >  Share this file > WhatsApp

You can also use Astro Manager (highly recommended)

There is no exact path for "Gallery" in Android. Gallery links folders together and present photos in one app.

With Home version, we already support copying photos to/from PC hard drive.
YouWave is updated to Android Lollipop. See youwave.com/download

Currently YouWave Home has some issues regarding Image Gallary, clicking in blank spaces may show you some pictures, but it's not recommended.

Photobox & Fish Bowl are good 3rd-party alternatives
====================================
As for how to import images, you can place pictures in C:\Users\Public and it will show up in /sdcard/c
If you have windows XP you have to manually create C:\Users\Public

The pictures should show up in the Image Galleries regardless of their location inside YouWave
