How to backup the data store in the SD-card of YouWave

Hi all,

i have installed what app in YouWave and click the backup icon for the message.
i want to know how to get that backup file stored in SD-card of YouWave

What is the path?

The easiest way is to download Dropbox from www.dropbox.com/android and install it. Then you can copy the files to your account in Dropbox servers.

Chatlog files can only be sent via email.

The other files are stored in SDCARD/WhatsApp/Media
and have to be backed up via dropbox like the admin said.
unfortunatatly you can't install dropbox from dropbox.com

- Install the Dropbox for PC
- Google for: Dropbox APK (Download It)
- Place APK file in the Dropbox folder
- Surf to www.dropbox.com from within YouWave
- Login & Download the Dropbox APK file

After this any file you place in the dropbox folder is shared vica versa...

- Open dropbox from within YouWave
- Find your file
- Then click and hold the file... until a menu pops up
- Share....  >  Share this file > WhatsApp

Hi acrocky, you can backup Whatsapp chat logs. They are stored in SDCARD\WHATSAPP\DATABASES. They are files that are named "msgstore-date.db.crypt", and there are several of these files. Once you have installed dropbox you can upload them and then download them to your computer. What I do is, since I have Astro Manager installed, select all the database files and compress them to a zip file, and then upload that file to dropbox, which then syncs it automatically to my computer.

And if for any reason you need to reinstall whatsapp, once you install it and before you do the confirmation process, create a folder named "DATABASES" in SDCARD\Whatsapp and unzip or copy your backed up chat messages to that folder, that way once you finish the Whatsapp confirmation process, Whatsapp will automatically detect the backups and ask you if you want to restore your chat logs!
