Do you recall what you were doing right before you first saw this message?

This error usually means that some data is corrupted. Clearing some data and cache may help.

Can you try the following to see whether the problem can be solved:

Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications, then find the "Contacts" app then clear its data.

Your contacts are store in "Contacts Storage" app. Do NOT clear its data if you want to keep your contacts.

I was starting up my laptop. The message came as I started youwave the first time today.

I reinstalled youwave now and loaded the latest version.

Is there a way to save all the contacts. Everytime I (re)install youwave I loose them all.

Regards,
Martijn

I maybe found something why youwave keeps corrupting files.

When installing apps by clicking thmen in te left hand pane. Sometimes the loading bar continues to load and does not stop at 100%.
Youwave stops responding. Stopping youwave (or killing the processes with taskmanager) and restart it, results in problems and crashing processes.

I have seen it happen now with all apps. Sometimes it works OK, sometimes the install goes over 100%.

Good catch. If that's the cause of this kind of corruption, we will put a fix soon.

Going over 100% is caused by double-clicking an app multiple times. We will fix it.

Hi Martijn, yes, you can backup your contacts. First you'd need to follow the instructions in this post for installing Dropbox: http://youwave.com/forum/index.php?topic=2154.0

Second, click on the green phone icon that is in the Youwave main screen (home) and then click on the "Contacts" menu that is on top; you can also open the "Contacts" from the main app screen. Once you are in "Contacts", press "Menu" and then "Import/Export"; then you click on "Export to SD Card". This will save a file in MNT/SDCARD/ named "0001.vcf". You can then upload that file to a Dropbox folder and keep it safe on your computer.

If you ever need to recover your contacts, you can copy this file back to Youwave, it doesn't matter where as long as it is in some folder in MNT/SDCARD, and then you repeat the same process mentioned above, except that this time you press "Import from SDcard. Youwave will search for the 0001.vcf file you downloaded and update your contacts automatically.

If you haven't already, you might want to consider installing a file manager app like AndExplorer or Astro Manager.

Before you see this problem, did you try to install some apps which happen to have ARM code? In the latest 2.2.1, we blocked installing apps that have ARM code, so we eliminated a cause of such crash.
