Home version used to follow the format 4.x.x. Some users complained that this numbering scheme can be confused with Android's actual release numbers. For example, Android's JellyBean is 4.1.2, but as a matter of fact, YouWave Home 4.1.2 uses Android 4.0.4.

We listen to our users and have changed the numbering scheme. The number "4" is removed. Home version Home 1.3 was released yesterday. It is a release after 4.1.2.

m asking same.. i know what to fill in the first two box.. bt "bypass proxy for" option.. cn u help a bit.. i dnt knw much abt this kinda stuff

youwave has its own proxy feauture, please read FAQ 10 on how to use it

What to write in Bypass Proxy in youwave 4.1 if i am using ultrasurf1208 as proxy software whose host address is 127.0.0.1 and port is 9666

Hmm. adb is not related to the build.prop. Is that the only thing you changed?

try to connect to 127.0.0.1, port 5558

One reason we made /system only readable is exactly to prevent changes which can be hard to support. Unpredictable issues can happen.

Ok i did this and it works.

but now I'm adb stopped working. When I try to start the shell I get an error message. device not found.

Looks like I have to tell adb the new device name but where can I do this?

We read on a forum saying the reason:
"They don't allow third party programs for this game so I think they're questioning whether or not Youwave, or whatever, is considered a third party program and is against their policy."

We have to clarify that YouWave is platform software. Android apps need Android OS to run, which YouWave provides. It is same as Samsung having Android on its phones. Without a "third party program", an Android OS, no Android apps can run. The fast merging of smart phones and tablets and desktops will make the argument of real device or not irrelevant.

We do not judge whether a device is real. We see a CPU in your hand or on your desk, operating system(s), some software made up by "0" and "1" bits and a lot of satisfied users.

While we strive to provide our users the best experience possible to run Android apps on PCs and to broaden the usage of YouWave, we always require our users to check their particular app's Terms of Use:
1. We cannot control app developers' decisions of running or not running their apps on some platforms including YouWave. We always respect their decisions.
2. We strive to provide best Android virtualization platform to our users.

I have some further evidence that it is in fact user agent which is being checked for.

The YouWave basic version still works.   The more expensive YouWave home version doesn't work.
YouWave basic sends a user agent of i9988_custom Build/RMO
YouWave home sends a user agent of i9999_custom Build/RMU

1 guess what Cygames did.. they blocked the useragent i9999_custom Build/RMU

It'll only be a matter of time, I'm sure, before they block the other one.
Those of us who have already purchased the home version (like me) do not really want to purchase another version just to work around Cygames annoying behavior trying to stop cheaters when we have legitimate uses (such as for me my work doesn't have any useful cell reception and I cannot put my phone onto wifi here for security reasons but am still allowed to play games in my down time)

Please allow a way to customize the user agent string.
