Hi. I have the same problem.
In my case for some reason the most recent youwave version didn’t run on my computer (the youwave logo just stays there and when I try to do anything it says something like “OS not ready. please wait a few seconds”).
So I installed youwave 2.0.0. Then I tried downloading whatsapp from whatsapp.com. It does NOT install, like stated above. However, if I download whatsapp from the android Appstore, it does install, starts normally, lets me configure my phone number, calls me to give me a code, I submit the code, the code is accepted but THEN it says “sorry this version of whatsapp is too old, download the most recent one from whatsapp.com”. But that version like I said doesn’t install.
I can send you snapshots of all these things if you’re interested.

There should not be any difference between 2.0.0 and the current 2.1.2 in terms of booting up. Did you try to reinstall the 2.1.2 version?
and did you manage to fix this problem coz i got the same problem :S ?
Are your running an old version of YouWave? Please try the latest version. It works fine.
Maybe you should try Wheebop. No need for SIM, works from PC, works from any Android powered device… geolocated chats…etc.
I installed and chatted successfully but the problem is how do I send videos or images????

Whatsapp runs great on youwave, not a single problem installing it……
Just one little problem……..When you use your own cellphonenumber , whatsapp stops working on your cellphone…..
So you can choose to let whatsapp work or on youwave or on your phone on one number.
It works great when you have more then one number……
Successfully nstalled WhatsApp and it is working well..
But the question is, how am i going to save the contacts from Excel format or sync the contacts from Gmail? pls help..thanks

Hi, i installed youwave on my PC so i can use Whatsapp and after i configured everything, im trying to copy my contacts but i dont know how and by copy i mean transfer coz i have around 800 contact on my outlook but cant find a way to transfer them into Youwave contact

Just go to http://www.whatsapp.com/android/ and download using your normal browser. And then use YouWave to run the app.

hello. i installed the last youwave version and installed whatsapp from whatsapp site.. when the installation process reaches the phone number configuration it stops saying: it does not connect to internet
after i read the comments above i think that there is some requirements for the pc that are not achieved>… or what do u think???????
I seem to have some issues with actually getting WhatsApp to work on my pc, when trying to send a service doesn’t seem to be available. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? “currently unbale to send your message, it will be send when the service becomes available” = the notification I get when trying to send a message, any help would be very much appreciated, been googeling without much succes, even on the whatsapp support forum I seem to be the only one with this issue.. figures

i have installed whatsapp and dropbox on youwave. the contacts(.vcf) are present in the dropbox folder. but when i click import contacts from sd card it does not save any contacts.
my question is where does the dropbox save these files on youwave?
I found the a link not using youwave, sorry I like youwave but I thought I would share this other method too. Though $14 isnt a lot they are using another Android Emulator. Ive added the link to my name where it said website. or if you want the website is www.whatsappforpc.com they are also saying they will do a proper guide on YouWave. I am looking forward to that one as i allready have YouWave installed. I thought their guide was better than what was suggested earlier.
Hey, just wondering. I went to visit the youtube page (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbwvsfjni4M) and it says that it’s only on a 7-day trial basis. Is there any other way that we can avoid the 7-day trial and keep on using whatsapp on PC even after the 7-days trial? Thank you

In YouWave application, go to View->Online Content->Click on the WhatsApp icon once. Then the WhatsApp app will be downloaded. Then you go to View->Apps and double click the WhatsApp. It will install the application.

The easiest way to download WhatsApp is to download the app from http://www.whatsapp.com/Android to your desktop and then install the app from YouWave.

Hello, I installed WhatsApp on Monday and it worked great. Yesterday evening I closed YouWave, like every evening. Today I started YouWave and noticed, that WhatsApp doesn’t work anymore
There are no messages coming in and no messages going out, I just got the clock icon. I deinstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp several times and started YouWave again. I just tried out if WhatsApp works again, but no… 
Do you have any ideas that could help me?

3. Click off check mark next to “Ethernet” then click it on again
4. Retry installing apps.

It will take 10 min to down load the executable file.. Click on the icon and it will start loading the prg.
after that u will get a pop up saying ” congratulations You wave has been set up.
